SPECIFIC RULES ISSUED BY AFL FOR JUNIOR FOOTBALL

THESE RULES ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED AND ADHERED TO BY ALL SCHOOLS INVOLVED IN THIS COMPETITION

Players may NOT grab the arms at any stage.  The aim is fior boys to have their arms free to give them enough time to diuspose of the ball by hand or foot. UMPIRES MUST PENALISE PLAYERS WHO GRAB THE OPPONENTS ARM.

BUMPING is NOT ALLOWED and MUST BE PENALISED

SLINGING a player to the ground is NOT PERMITTED - UMPIRES MUST PENALISE THIS.

Players may NOT grab a ball out of an opponents hands.  THIS MUST BE PENALISED.

Players may NOT WRAP TACKLE.  THIS MUST BE PENALISED.

Players may NOT PUSH A PLAYER IN THE SIDE - but MAY JOSTLE to get the ball

NO SOCCERING off the ground.

NO SHEPHERDING

If a ball is kicked OUT OF BOUNDS without being touched a FREE is to be paid to the opposition.  If the ball is TOUCHED it is to be brought in 5 metres and thrown in.
